The following files are needed for UGC league play in the Team Fortress 2 leagues.
SERVER CONFIGS WITH READYUP Plugin INSTALL-
This configuration setup is for use with the 3rd party install of a readyup plugin.
REVISED 05/16/2009
Servers are required to have metamod and sourcemod installed.
STEP 1 - Download the following server mod tools (if your server does not already have this installed):
Read instructions CAREFULLY before installing!
1)Metamod files and install instructions.
2)Sourcemod files and install instructions.
STEP 2 - Custom Files: Download and install the following custom server extention file and plugin, used to make a L4D server ready for competition.:
1) Left4DowntownPlugin (latest version) - This thread contains a download link for the most recent server extention file required for use with the current version of the L4D game.
2) l4dreadyup.smx plugin (latest version) - This thread contains a download link for the most recent ready-up plugin version and requires a previous installation of metamod and sourcemod server modifications, plus the left4downtown plugin above.
STEP 3 - UGC Files: Download the following server config files, used to setup your server for match settings, and to return it to your normal non-match setup.:
1)
UGC Server CFGs v.060909 - (updated 06/09/09)
STEP 4 - After Install Tasks:
1) Setup admin access to sourcemod and readyup:
Add player steam ID's to the sourcemod admins ini file: "\addons\sourcemod\configs\admins_simple.ini", use the folowing format to grant full access to a player;
"STEAM_ID:0:1:23456" "99:z"
2) Remove SM Reserved slots plugin, it is broken for L4D and causes problems.
a) Remove the plugin named "reservedslots.smx" from the folder addons\sourcemod\plugins
b) Edit the sourcemod.cfg: cfg\sourcemod\sourcemod.cfg
Put // infront of these commands;
sm_reserve_type 0
sm_reserved_slots 0
sm_hide_slots 0
