Well, the time has finally come. The last of the seasons regular match weeks has come and gone. We sincerely thank all teams for participating in the league for Season 2 and cannot wait to see you all again in Season 3!
That being said, this week is officially tie-breaker week. That means that only certain teams will be playing for week nine. Your match this week, if you are scheduled, determines your placement for playoffs so it is of your teams best interest to play the game!
How do I know if my team has to play?
Well, e-mails went out regarding all teams that are to play in this weeks matchups. If, for some reason, you are unsure as to whether or not your team is to play this week then check you e-mail! Alongside this the schedule has also been posted. Thus, you can use your teams match communications page to consult with the other teams leader.
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE E-MAILS SENT OUT TO ALL PARTICIPATING TEAMS: Some of you need to play more than one match this week! These matches will not be posted in your match communications as they are not officially scheduled. You absolutely must read your e-mail to see if your team is one of the ones that need extra matches. If your team does need additional matches it will be outlined in red ink within your e-mail. This means that you have complete responsibility to schedule your second match via adding the other team on Steam. If you have any questions ask an admin immediately.
Here are some important bits of information for tie-breaker week:
-All matches are to be played as a BEST OF ONE. Not a best of two like teams are used to playing.
-All tie-breaker matches must be completed with match results turned in by Monday, November 24th.
-All tie-breaker matches are required to be placed on the UGC Ticket. Thus, a team member must join the #ugc-dota2 IRC channel or contact an admin to host their game.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact an admin.
Thank you again to all participating teams and best of luck to those continuing toward playoffs.
