News & Updates

  • Hello and Welcome to Season 4 of UGC DOTA 2!

As of today your schedules have been posted and are awaiting for teams to post in Match Comms. to discuss a time to play their matches. If a time cannot be agreed upon then teams must play at the default time of Sunday @ 7pm.

Match Comms may be found in your Team Leader panel and are expected to be used weekly. This creates a record of communication for the admin team so we highly advise posting as much information in there about your match as possible.

Here are some quick reminders about our rules and regulations:

  • Under absolutely no circumstance may a team use an unrostered standin. If they are not on the roster then they cannot play. Teams are given 10 Roster slots. Use them.
  • Under absolutely no circumstance is a non-UGC certified caster allowed in the broadcasting slot. If the caster was not assigned to your matchup by UGC then they do not join the lobby.
  • All matches are a BEST OF 2 series.
  • If you would like your match featured on the UGC Ticket simply join our IRC channel and ask for it! This option may not be available for week one (we are still waiting to hear from Valve about it) but you are free to stop in before your match and ask. Once it is placed in game joining IRC and asking for an admin to ticket a match will be the standard approach for the season.
  • Do not ask for a match to be ticketed unless you have all 10 players in the lobby and ready to go. This saves time for our Admin team.
  • In Game 1 the Home team chooses Radiant/Dire and the Away team chooses whether or not they would like First Pick / Ban. In game two these roles reverse.
  • If for any reason you would like to submit a match dispute it must be made within 24 hours of your agreed upon match time and submitted with as much information as possible to the Admin team: dota2 @ ugcleague.com

If your team is not scheduled this week and you would like to be for the following week simply log into your Team Leader account and change your team status from "Not Ready" to "Ready". Please make sure all players on your team have up to date MMR before doing so.

Thanks and best of luck to all teams in Season 4!
