2/9/2010 Schedule Posted - Preseason Week

This week is preseason week in UGC TF2 8v8. We start with a map that is a European Favorite cp_obscure_rc1 which is a 3rd party map.
After playing our two preseason maps we will take a clan vote and have a chance to play one of them in week 9 of the season.

Remember the class limits are 1 Medic and 1 Demoman.

Config files have been updated for UGC TF2 8v8 League. Please download them at the following url: http://www.ugcleague.com/files/configs/ugc_tf28_v020210.zip or in the files section. These will be the files that are used for the season.
If you have any issue let us know in the forums, irc or steam.

Season 5 Maps Posted

This season Infinite and myself will be joining the UGC TF2 Team from STA-TF2 leagues. With STA league ending we also decided it would be a good idea to run UGC on Tuesday nights.

We will be using the class limits of 1 Medic and 1 Demoman. The rest of the classes will have no limits (unless it becomes apparent during the season that we need them).

I have posted the map schedule and you can see it in the right hand navigation. If you have any issues with it or questions please post them in the forums or come talk to me in irc. We will begin with 2 weeks of Preseason Matches to let teams get use to the class limits. Preseason matches will begin on 2/9/10.

Our next season of 8vs8 Team Fortress 2 will be starting soon. All teams from our previous Season 4 are invited and their team rosters are ported to our Season 5 records. Congratulations to |Ex| as our Title Winner.

Our next Season of TF2 8vs8 won't begin until early 2010 after the holidays, so thank you for participating in our league and have a great December.

We are adding more admin staff, we truly need the help. If you are an experienced player and community member and can make a commitment to help our league, let us know.
For next Season of 8vs8, we will hold off on a firm start date until we get a solid turnout of teams.

Gravelpit!

cp_Gravelpit
The mainstream map Gravelpit is played under stopwatch rules with no timelimit per round. Please use the Attack/Defend server cfg named '"ugc-AD.cfg" for gravelpit. Scoring is by MatchRound Win, a tie after two MatchRounds results in a full 3rd OT round. Possible scores are (2-0) and (2-1).

Team Leaders, please do your best to contact your opponents early in our web based match comms system.

Our TF2 6vs6 League is beginning play this week in it's Season 3, with a large number of teams and some very strong competition. If your team is not already in that division, we warmly invite you to join.

Season 5 02/09/2010 - 05/19/2010
	2 preseason, 10 Regular Season matches, 3 week elimination playoff.
Match Day & Time
	Default match day is Tuesday. Schedules are posted by Friday each week.
Player Number
	8 players per team
Class Limits
	1 med, 1 demo, no other limits. (Unusual maps may have a custom limit)
Weapons
	Settings: no crits, no damage spread Unlockables: All unlockables are Allowed.
CP Maps
	ie: cp_granary Use config "ugc-CP.cfg" 2 MatchRounds, limited to 3 wins or 30 minutes. The highest combined scores from the two Match Rounds wins match. The highest score a team can reach in each Matchround is 3, therefore the maximum total per Match is 6 points for the Winnning Team. OT: Tied score results in a Sudden Death Overtime round, the first all-cap wins.
AD-type CP Maps
	ie: cp_gravelpit, pl_badwater Use config "ugc-AD.cfg" Stopwatch rules used in 2/3 MatchRounds. Scoring is by Matchround OT: When tied at 1-1, play a full 3rd round Overtime using stopwatch.
CTF Maps
	ie: ctf_turbine Use config "ugc-CTF.cfg" Two 20 mins MatchRounds, the highest number of caps wins each Matchround. Scoring is by Matchround win, if teams are tied 1-1 then an OT round is played as Sudden Death, first cap wins the match.
DOM Maps
	ie: dom_canalzone Use config "ugc-DOM.cfg" 2 MatchRounds, limited to 3 wins and approximately 25 minutes at nearest mapround end. The highest combined scores from the two Match Rounds wins match. The highest score a team can reach in each Matchround is 3, therefore the maximum total per Match is 6 points for the Winnning Team. OT: A Tied combined score occurs after the first two Matchrounds requires a Tiebreaker OT round. Each team gets 1 chance on each color. The team with the combined higher percentage will win the round and the match.
Teams & Rosters
	Teams can join anytime, but Teams joining after Season midpoint may not be eligible for playoffs. Teams should only use rostered players in a match. Team Leaders must confirm the opponent's player list prior to match start. Rosters will lock prior to Playoffs.
Servers & Matchrounds
	Home Team: Server choice for Matchround 1 Color choice to start Visiting Team: Server choice for Matchround 2 Teams switch starting colors for Matchround 2. SourceTV must record a demo of all matches.
