All divisions will be using the Map Elimination System for choosing maps for all of their Playoff BO3 matches, Semifinals BO3, and Grand Finals BO3.
Map Elimination System (with each map played as 1 half only, except Ultiduo)
Map #1 : Visiting Team picks starting color and map is played on Home Team's server.
Map #2 : Home Team picks starting color and map is played on Visiting Team's server.
Map #3 : Home Team picks starting color and map is played on Home Team's server.
Only maps played in regular season of the current season can be picked. Once a map is picked, it can't be picked again.
Map choices MUST be made in Match Comms in the proper order and will be reviewed by an admin.
Playoffs/Finals - BO3 Map Structure
During the Playoffs/Finals - Best of 3 Maps we play each map a little differently than we did during the regular season. Please read below:
Scoring:
All players in an official UGC match are required to record POV demos. If you have a player on your team who does not or cannot record POV demos, do not play them in your match. If you play with ringers, they must also record POV demos. Failure to provide a requested POV demo will be grounds for player suspension and/or your match being thrown out, overturned or replayed.
Please see Rule 6.2 for more information about recording POV demos.
An easy way to record your personal POV demos is through the use of the P-REC plugin, available here.
P-REC Setup
1. Launch Team Fortress 2 and check the console to make sure P-REC has loaded correctly.
* If you don't have console enabled, right-click on Team Fortress 2 in your Steam Library, select Properties and click on Set Launch Options. Add -console to Launch Options and click OK.
2. Type prec_ in console to configure P-REC and browse all the commands. You can also read the "readme prec.txt" contained in the downloaded archive.
3. Make sure that prec_mode 2 is set. That way all matches with tournament mode enabled will be recorded.
Please remember that UGC is not responsible if you fail to provide a POV demo through any problems that may happen through the use of this plugin. Saying "P-REC didn't work" is not a valid excuse for not providing a POV demo.
