Big East Coast Storm

Storm Sandy
For players in the USA, our east coast is expecting a fairly intense storm to knock out power across large areas on Monday night. This could potentially impact matches in a bad way. The effects of this storm will be hitting on Monday, with the full impact late Monday and into Tuesday. We might be able to get matches completed on Monday before things get truly bad, or we might be in for a real bad night. The impact will continue long after the storm hits, with power outages expected to last for many days. Last year we had a smaller version of this storm that left many areas without power for a week or so.

Therefore we suggest that North American teams play it safe and try to arrange with their opponents to play a day early, on Sunday.
This is voluntary for teams, as Monday is still our default match day. However, we think the smart teams will play early.
Team Leaders should contact their opponents asap and work out any agreement to play early on their match comms.
We will have more updates on this on Sunday.

SUNDAY UPDATE for North American Teams:
Default match day is Monday, and that remains the same this week. We will not be postponing the week for the entire league, nor will we force any individual teams to postpone their matches. Team leaders can reschedule as needed on a team to team basis. To change a match from default Monday you MUST have an agreement between both of the match's team leaders. Teams who choose to reschedule MUST post any new day and time in your Match Communications.

If teams need more time this week, you can request an extension past Tuesday. For teams with a completed agreement before Monday, we will accept match results for North American Divisionsthrough next Sunday, 11/4. That gives you a week to complete your matches if you make an agreement between teams.
Remeber, to move a match you must reach agreement your opponent before default match time on Monday. If you fail to make such an agreement, the match will proceed at default time on Monday.

Good Luck, Have Fun and most of all stay safe!
