Well, what do we have here? You managed to push a cart under, over, and upward a few dirt hills.

Good for you, you get a banana sticker.

Do you have any idea how many people died installing that "twisty ramp" near Point C? None, actually. I'm too cheap to pay for worker's insurance, so the builders installed it with a crane and some long bolts. Frankly I'm surprised it didn't collapse under your massive weight while pushing that enormous rail-bound-bomb (that's two banana stickers for you).

Hey now, don't fight over these stickers! They are rare Official Vintage Valve Banana Stickers.** Tell you what, you all can fight over them on this week's map before market values shoot through the roof: koth_pro_viaduct_rc3.

So, you might be thinking, "What happens in the double-elimination tournament for Week 2?". I'll tell you (or Xarlor can explain it here). 

If your team was competent enough to win Week 1's match, you will continue to be in the Upper Bracket (UB) for this week and, if you win, will only play this Monday, April 1st (no, I'm not joking).

If you lost last Monday's match on Week 1, you play this Monday, April 1st (again, not joking) and, if you win Monday's match, you also play the same map on the following Thursday, April 4th. If you are in the Upper Bracket (UB) and lose this Monday, April 1st, you are now in the Lower Bracket (LB) and will play again on Thursday, April 4th.  North American Platinum is the only division exempt from this.

Be sure to report your matches ASAP after you play on Monday! It will really help us get those schedules out as fast as possible (at the speed of caring!). 
 

Match Scoring for KOTH (See: Match and Gameplay Setup from our HL Rules page)

Scoring: The winning team is the first to reach 4 TOTAL capture points. The match is played in two match-rounds.  The first round plays until a team reaches 3 capture points. Then teams switch sides. The second round is played until a team reaches 4 TOTAL cap points (including caps from first match-round).

Overtime: If teams are tied after 2 rounds 
(e.g.: 2-2, or 3-3), play a 3rd round where the first cap wins.

Map Execution (for server operators only)

  1. Authenticate to your server with rcon_password (rcon_password myP4ssw0rd).
  2. Execute ugc_HL_koth.cfg from the developer console (rcon exec ugc_HL_koth.cfg ).
  3. Reload the map. This is necessary for sv_pure to take effect and for Source TV to start recording (rcon changelevel koth_pro_viaduct_rc3).
  4. Re-execute the ugc_HL_koth.cfg to start a fresh log file and make sure everything is in order.

Special note to CEVO participants: I have personally run across cases where, if a CEVO config was executed previously and without a server restart, the CEVO config will corrupt the UGC configs where match-halves may end prematurely. My advice is to authenticate to your server (Step 1), then execute ugc_off.cfg (rcon exec ugc_off.cfg), then restart your server (rcon _restart), then begin the regular steps above, starting from Step 1 all over again.
